The City of Martinsville, Virginia, is soliciting proposals for Soil Remediation Via In Situ Thermal Desorption (ISTD) of soils impacted by chlorinated and aromatic VOCs in two former solvent disposal pits located at the Martinsville Sanitary Landfill. This Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit bids for turn-key implementation of the ISTD remedy for the solvent pits. Implementation will include design, construction, operation, confirmatory testing, and removal of the ISTD system. This is a performance-based RFP, and the specific soil heating technology is open. Proposals will be received until 4:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, October 12, 2017.
